I love restaurants. I always have. The best ones are a special kind of theater. A handful of restaurants become part of a city’s story, and feel like they have been around forever. My favorite restaurants all feel little bit of magic - Barbuto at 7pm on a summer night, Balthazar at Christmastime, Tosca after midnight..
Restaurants can be meaningful to people, the place where their family celebrates life's big moments. I always feel privileged when we are that place.
I hope our restaurants become the place where you know the staff make you look like a rockstar when you want to impress the boss, the place that you take that first date you are really excited about, and the place where you can eat by yourself at the bar and never feel alone.
